Why I Created This Space

Two years ago - August 20, 2024 - the first episode of the Purpose Project podcast was released into the world.
I had no idea then where this project would take me.
Over the past two years, I've grown tremendously. And one of the greatest gifts of that growth has been developing a deeper and more meaningful sense of purpose and meaning in my own life.
Less desire.
More gratitude.
Less uncertainty.
More grounding.
As Purpose Project has evolved, I've found myself asking a lot of questions about where to focus and what's next.
And strangely enough, I kept coming back to a website.
I spent a lot of time asking myself, Why? Why create a website for Purpose Project? and I eventually realized there are two reasons.
First, I wanted ownership.
As AI continues to democratize content creation, I feel an even stronger desire to have authorship over my own work. I want a place where the ideas, stories, questions, and lessons I'm gathering have a home that I control and can continue to shape.
But that's not really the most important reason.
I wanted a space to be vulnerable.
I've found tremendous value and growth in sharing my journey with others and in listening to the journeys of others. The stories people tell me. The fears they share. The questions they're wrestling with. The moments of clarity. The moments of uncertainty.
I've learned that there is something powerful about putting our experiences into words and giving them a place to live. So that's what I hope this space becomes.
A place to share what I'm learning.
A place to document the journey.
A place to ask questions without necessarily having the answers.
A place to look back someday and see how I've changed.
I don't know where this website will go from here. And honestly, I kind of love that. For now, I'm simply grateful to have this beautiful space that John Alex Rusyniak helped me create.
It's a space I know my future self will cherish, revisit, and nurture. And I hope you'll consider it your space, too.
If something you read here makes you think, I've experienced that, too, or I've been wondering about that, I'd love for you to share your story in the comments.
Right now, the blog is the primary way to join the conversation. But I hope to create more opportunities for all of us to share, connect, and learn from one another as Purpose Project continues to evolve.
Welcome to the next chapter of Purpose Project. I'm so glad you're here.
