What is Purpose Project?

Purpose Project is founded on the belief that every individual has a purpose in their life and through research we can understand how to discover and realize our unique life's purpose. 

The word "purpose" is thrown around constantly without much context or understanding of what it truly means. It's also a BIG word, meaning it carries a lot of weight for individuals and for companies (who also throw this word around).

Take a moment over the next week and pay attention to how often the word "purpose" is used. 

You'll realize it's used a lot, in different contexts and carries different weight. You'll also realize its use lacks depth - there's little shared understanding of what "purpose" really means and how one discovers and realizes their life's purpose. 

This lack of understanding coupled with the belief that discovering one's life purpose is good for both the individual and humanity is why Purpose Project was founded. 

Purpose Project exists to study the topic of life's purpose and to apply those lessons to my own life. The goal is to use research and insights to help each of us discover and realize our unique purpose in life, and to help businesses improve employee engagement by connecting purpose to the job. 

I have a lot of questions about life's purpose - questions such as:

• Do we have one purpose in life?

• Does our purpose change at different stages in our life?

• Do we find our purpose or does our purpose find us?

• How do we discover our purpose?

• What are the benefits of purpose (for the individual, for business, for the community, etc.)?

• What are the challenges?
