Welcome to the Purpose Project blog!

This blog series reflects on the journey of exploring life’s purpose. Whether you're already a listener to the podcast, a follower on LinkedIn, or new to the conversation, this first post is your invitation to join us on a mission to deepen our connections and live a life on purpose.

What is Purpose Project?

Purpose Project is a research study aimed at exploring the topic of life’s purpose from multiple perspectives. This study draws insights from three main sources:

  1. A review of existing data — diving into existing academic studies and cultural perspectives on purpose.

  2. Interviews shared as podcast episodes — conversations from the Purpose Project podcast and impromptu conversations that I have.

  3. Human experiences — perhaps the most valuable source is the lived experiences I have as I apply the lessons I'm learning.

My research first centered on defining "purpose." To do this, I wanted to learn from individuals who embody purposeful living. Their stories have been both inspiring and eye-opening.

Key Questions I Explored

Season 1 of the podcast delved into the heads and hearts of those with clarity in their life's purpose, exploring three foundational questions:

1 - What is purpose?

Purpose is not a goal or an achievement. It’s a state of being. It's a constant flow rather than a finish line.

2 - How do we live a life of purpose?

Common attributes include self-understanding and taking action, even in the face of fear, is how we live a life of pupose. Purposeful living is about aligning actions with values and being intentional in everyday life.

3 - What are the benefits of living a life of purpose?

Purpose fuels us. It’s an energy source that brings joy, happiness, and resilience. It creates a sense of freedom that is expansive. Importantly, its impact extends beyond us, benefiting others and creating a generational ripple effect.

Join the Conversation

As I dive deeper into these questions (and many more), sharing what we've learned and applying them to my own life, I invite you to join me. Perhaps your journey includes taking a piece of insight and applying it to your own life. Perhaps it's sharing what you're learning as a way of contributing to helping others live a life of purpose and meaning. Or perhaps, it's the questions that you are pondering. We can ponder them together.

What do you hope to learn about the topic of life's purpose?
